At 3/4 thick these are almost thick enough to stand upright without the clear bases.
But for ease of use, since they are borderline thickness and to beef up the visual,
I used some 1" blocks for the cantilever bases.
14" wide is almost too heavy and bulky, but the font has to
be readable from a distance to be useful.
